Wayne Rooney has urged Jadon Sancho to stay in the Bundesliga in order to keep developing with Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho shone last season in the German top flight, emerging as one of the most exciting youngsters in world football before becoming a senior England international.
His fine form led him to attracting heavy interest from Premier League giants Manchester United as they look for some creativity and flair up top.

But United legend Rooney — the club’s all-time leading goalscorer — has called on 19-year-old Sancho to stay at Dortmund, where he will receive regular game time.
‘Dortmund is a great club with great fans, they trust their young players and you can see that in Sancho and the progress he has made in the last 12 months,’ he told Bild.
‘Now Jadon has to ask himself whether he would get the playing time he gets in Dortmund when he moves to England, or would he just sit on the bench?
‘Playing time is so important for a young player like Jadon, so if he gets the most playing time in Dortmund, he should stay there.’
Sancho netted 13 times and created 19 assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga runners-up last season.
