Fans find out if they’ve got tickets for Euro 2020 as UEFA reveal results of first online ballot after record-breaking 19.3MILLION requests

  • Fans discovered on Tuesday whether they were successful via a ballot  

Football fans across Europe and beyond have been finding out on Tuesday whether they have been successful in applying for Euro 2020 tickets.

Tickets were allocated via a random ballot after a record 19.3million requests from fans to go and watch a match at the tournament, which is to be held across Europe next summer.

The most in-demand match was the final at Wembley stadium, which will be held on July 12.

Portugal won Euro 2016 when they defeated hosts France 1-0 in the final in Paris 

UEFA made 50 per cent of tickets available – around 43,500 – and received 1.9million requests for tickets.

It meant applicants had a one-in-44 chance of being successful. 

Portugal won the last European Championship, held in France in 2016, by beating the hosts 1-0 in the final.
