Christian Benteke pens new one-year contract extension at Crystal Palace

Christian Benteke handed new one-year contract extension at Crystal Palace despite having scored just over 20 goals in three years

Christian Benteke has been handed a one-year contract extension at Crystal Palace, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2020/21 season.

The former Liverpool man has committed his immediate future to the club, despite failing to rediscover his goalscoring touch since moving to Selhurst Park.

Palace have also handed a contract extension to defender James Tomkins with a slightly longer time-frame, keeping him in south London until the end of the 2021/22 season.
