Giggs claims Solskjaer STILL needs to splash out in market to be able to fix Manchester United

‘He needs another four or five’: Ryan Giggs claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer STILL needs to splash out in market to be able to fix Manchester United

  •  Club legend Giggs says he needs to bolster his midfield and attacking options

Ryan Giggs claims Manchester United need to sign another ‘four or five’ players to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s misfiring side have won just five of their last 22 matches, and are winless in 10 away games, ahead of Sunday’s crunch Premier League clash at Newcastle United.

Thursday’s dire display in the goalless draw against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League saw the Red Devils fail to register one shot on target.

Solskjaer is focused on building a youthful side following the summer departures of stars Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

United began their new transfer strategy with the arrivals of Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Dan James in the summer.

But club legend Giggs, who won 34 trophies during a glittering Old Trafford career, believes the Norwegian needs to bolster his midfield and attacking options.

He told The Sun: ‘I see what Ole is doing and I support that. He’s brought in three players but he probably needs seven or eight.

‘So he needs another four or five. But you can’t do that over one transfer window, so you have to be patient because it will be slow.’
