- Real Madrid are planning a move for Donny van de Beek, according to reports

Real Madrid are now in pole position to sign Ajax wonderkid Donny van de Beek – just three months after Manchester United baulked at his £35m fee, according to the Mirror.
The 22-year-old Dutch international is now priced at £100million by his club but that has not put off the Spanish side from stepping up their interest.
Real are expected to make a move for Van de Beek in the summer, which will mark a year since United failed to make their move for the Ajax midfielder.

Van de Beek, who insisted earlier this week that he would not move in January, is one of the latest stars to come through the famed Ajax academy and was part of the side that lost the Europa League final to United back in 2017.
However, the 22-year-old has made significant strides in the past couple of years and has become one of Europe’s most prolific goalscoring midfielders.
He found the net 12 times last season and has already scored three times in the current campaign.

Those goals not only helped Ajax achieve the double last season but also saw them reach the semi-finals of the Champions League before they were knocked out by Tottenham.
United then targeted the Dutch star in the summer, viewing him as an excellent replacement when it appeared as if Paul Pogba was on his way out of Old Trafford to Juventus or Real.
That interest was later cooled though once Ajax had quoted them the £35m price and the club had decided that Pogba was staying.
However, having seen former team-mate Frenkie de Jong depart for Barcelona in the summer, there is now a real possibility that Van de Beek will join his compatriot in Spain next season.
