Tom Lawrence has been included in the Wales squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Slovakia and Croatia.
The Derby forward, who was charged with drink driving last month, has retained his place in Ryan Giggs’ squad after returning to action for his club on Wednesday night in their 2-2 draw at Barnsley in the Championship.
Lawrence’s involvement in the crash in the Allestree area of Derby last week led some to wonder whether he might lose his Wales place, but Giggs has chosen to keep faith with him.

Lawrence (L) and Mason Bennett both played for Derby after an alleged drink-driving incident
The 25-year-old is scheduled to appear along with club-mate Mason Bennett at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on October 15.
Some Derby fans booed on Wednesday night when the names of Lawrence and Bennett, who was on the bench, were read out before kick-off.
Derby are currently conducting an internal investigation to determine the level of punishment for the players after last Tuesday’s team-bonding session in a Derbyshire pub.
Giggs defended his decision to select Lawrence after naming his squad on Thursday.
He said: ‘It wasn’t an easy decision. It was a case of speaking to everyone involved: my staff, the FAW and Derby. I spoke to Phillip Cocu (Derby manager) two days ago to see what Derby’s stance was.
‘It was a conversation that definitely needed to be had, to make sure we were all singing from the same hymn sheet.
‘Tom is disappointed with what his actions were and he’s going to be punished (by Derby). I spoke to him on Sunday and he was a bit down, as you can imagine.

‘He has that court date on the 15th, but in the meantime he will be able to get on with his career. It’s not going to be easy because he’ll be thinking about that. But I’ll see how he is during the week.
‘I’ll see how he trains and then make a decision or not on whether to start him in any of the games.’
Lawrence has 20 caps for Wales and has already suffered the pain of missing one major tournament, after injury ruled him out of their Euro 2016 campaign, when Wales reached the semi-finals.
Ashley Williams has been recalled following his exclusion for the games against Azerbaijan and Belarus last month.
The centre-back, who has 86 caps, signed a short-term deal with Bristol City in August.
Gareth Bale, of Real Madrid, and Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey are also included.
Ramsey had to withdraw from the last squad as he was managing a hamstring problem.
