Speaking at a Red Bull event, he said: ‘My goal is to win everything I can with Paris and the Brazilian national team.

However, Neymar and Co have failed to live up to that billing and the 27-year-old insists that his goal is to bring the coveted trophy back to Paris this season.

‘Paris has never won the Champions League, so people are going to give it their all. We know we have quality and we hope to be among the finalists.’

The Brazilian reportedly came very close to reuniting with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez last summer, and has spoken on record that his unhappiness at PSG warranted a move away.

‘I never wanted to hurt anyone, but I always knew in my head that if you’re not happy somewhere, you must leave,’ he told France Football.
