U2 have teamed up with DJ Martin Garrix to record the official Euro 2020 song.
The track, called We Are The People We’ve Been Waiting, is now set for release on May 14 ahead of the delayed football tournament kicking off in June.
And according to The Sun, Bono and the Edge are currently in London with the Dutch DJ, 24, to record a video for the tune.

A music insider said: ‘Martin adores football so this opportunity was massive for him, which is why he aimed for the very top when looking for collaborators.
‘He has spent months and months working on this song to make it perfect and once Bono and The Edge were on board, it hit new heights
‘They have spoken quite a few times and are in London at the moment working on the video. They can’t wait to get it out there for everyone to listen to really soon.’
Martin shared a snap confirming the collaboration to his Twitter account on Tuesday and also announced the song’s release date on Monday.

Sharing a short video showing a compilation of football stadiums and music events, the DJ revealed that May 14 is the date when fans can listen to the tune.
Martin has seen great success since his number one hit Animals was released in 2013 and has since worked with stars such as Dua Lipa, David Guetta and Usher.
While U2 have sold millions of albums around the world and are known for hit songs such as Desire and Vertigo making it to number one on the UK charts.
Martin was first confirmed as the musician chosen to create a song for the Euros in October 2019 and said at the time that it was an ‘incredible honour’ to be asked.
The Euros 2020 kick off in June with 24 nations competing and the final being played at Wembley Stadium in London after it was delayed amid the Covid pandemic.

It was recently revealed that Wembley will host an extra match after Dublin was stripped of its games because it could not commit to the minimum number of fans demanded by UEFA due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The extra game takes the total number in London to eight, after the Irish government concluded it would not allow the Aviva stadium to host 25 per cent of its capacity, as requested by UEFA.
The change means England will meet the runners up from Group F, probably Germany, France or Portugal, at Wembley – instead of Dublin – on June 29 if they win Group D.

If England progress all the way to final, which is also at Wembley, they could play six out of seven matches at home, with a last eighth game in Rome.
Ireland’s three group games will move to St Petersburg in Russia, following a meeting today of the UEFA executive committee.
The European football governing body had asked all 12 host cities to commit to at least quarter-full stadiums.
In April, nine cities committed to the minimum requirement, including London and Glasgow, but three – Munich, Dublin, and Bilbao – asked for more time.
Bilbao has also lost its matches, which will move to Seville in southern Spain, but Munich has hung on to all of its fixtures, which will played in front of 14,500 fans.
