Liverpool: Alisson reveals Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are targeting a QUADRUPLE

‘We want MORE… this should be the goal’: Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson reveals Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are targeting a QUADRUPLE as he says this season is about more than reclaiming the Premier League title

  • Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is eyeing the quadruple this season
  • He says this campaign is not just about reclaiming the Premier League title
  • The Reds currently sit fourth but are fighting on all fronts so far this term

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker says this season is about more than just reclaiming the Premier League title.

Following an injury plagued campaign last season, the Reds were unable to defend their title as they would have liked and they finished 17 points behind eventual champions Manchester City.

But Alisson says there’s more to this season than just winning the league and he has set his sights on multiple other trophies, including the Champions League and the FA Cup.

When asked if this season is about reclaiming the Premier League title, Alisson told Liverpool FC magazine: ‘It’s about more than that, to be honest. We want more.’

The 29-year-old added: ‘Of course we want to win all the tournaments that we play in. We want to win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup – all the tournaments that it is possible for us to play in.

‘This should be the goal and the target for everybody for a team like us. But we have to take it game by game and we must be focused on our jobs to do 100 per cent what we have to do.’

Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the season was halted by the 3-2 defeat to West Ham last week – a result which has left them fourth, four point behind league leaders Chelsea.

But they’re already through to the last 16 of the Champions League, with two games to spare, having won all four games in the competition so far.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are also through to the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup and they will play Leicester on 22nd December for a place in the last four.

The Reds will be looking to return to winning ways after the international break when they take on the in-form Arsenal at Anfield.
