‘The Napoli option is unlikely’: Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo prioritising first-team football ahead of a possible move away in the summer
- There have been suggestions Jean-Clair Todibo could move to Napoli in summer
- But his agent has made it clear that he wants first-team football if he moves
- Barcelona have only used him twice in La Liga since he joined in January window
Barcelona starlet Jean-Clair Todibo’s possible move to Napoli is unlikely unless they can guarantee first-team football.
The 19-year-old moved to the Nou Camp from Toulouse in January but has struggled for action under Ernesto Valverde, playing just twice in La Liga — against Huesca and Celta Vigo.
There have been suggestions that the teenager could move to Serie A side Napoli, but his representatives have made it clear that he will need regular football wherever he moves.

‘We have spoken with Barcelona but no decision has been taken yet,’ his agent Bruno Satin told Marca.
‘He wants to stay at the club but if an opportunity comes up elsewhere then he will need to play a minimum of 30 matches in a season.
‘This means the Napoli option is unlikely, and it would not be fair for me to demand that from Carlo Ancelotti and their club.’
Todibo broke through at Toulouse earlier this campaign, making 10 appearances in the centre of defence before moving on.
