England and India are set to start their second test at Lord's after the opening day was lost to rain.
Joe Root's side lead 1-0 in the best-of-five series after claiming victory at Edgbaston last weekend.
However, they will have no Edgbaston match-winner Ben Stokes, whose trial for affray is ongoing at Bristol Crown Court.
England selected seamer Chris Woakes ahead of second spinner Moeen Ali for the delayed start of the second Test against India.
Following a first-day washout and with more showers forecast at Lord's, England captain Joe Root put India in the morning and a pitch still tinged with green.
The Tourists made two changes in a row series 1-0 after England won a thrilling first match of five by 31 runs at Edgbaston.
Cheteshwar Pujara, with opener Shikhar Dhawan dropped and KL Rahul promoted to partner Murali Vijay. The tourists also picked a second spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, in place of seamer Umesh Yadav.
