Antoine Griezmann has the potential to be classed alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – if he starts winning trophies, according to Fernando Torres.
Griezmann and Torres are team-mates at Atletico Madrid, and the former has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
That move would surely allow him to lift a trophy or two at one of the biggest clubs in the world, something which Torres believes can lift him to the top of the game.

‘To be considered at the level of Messi and Cristiano, he is missing titles,’ the ex-Liverpool striker told Cadena SER. ‘I hope he gets them at Atletico.’
That may be a stretch, though, given how often he is linked with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano – and this summer looks to be the window he finally makes his move away.
If he does leave, he will follow Torres out the exit door as he is expected to head to America for Major League Soccer when the season finishes.
Torres, though, is keen for Griezmann, goalkeeper Jan Oblak and coach Diego Simeone to stay.
Of the 25-year-old shot-stopper, he said: ‘I’ve never seen a better goalkeeper than Oblak,’ he said. ‘I’d pay anything for him to stay.’
