Lionel Messi has told the Barcelona board he is reluctant to see Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann move to the Nou Camp.
The World Cup winner made a late U-turn last summer expressing his desire to stay at Diego Simeone’s side in his own documentary despite a deal to join Ernersto Valverde’s men looking all but done.
Many players in the Catalan giants’ camp do not want to see Griezmann join the club with talisman Messi unhappy with the way the France international announced his decision to stay at Atletico.

According to RMC Sport, Messi would rather his side focused on trying to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
But Barcelona’s approach to the Ligue 1 side’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was met with a hands-off warning.
The PSG president explained that Neymar was not for sale and that he was happy to stay in Paris.
It looks like Greizmann will sign instead but a deal is not yet complete as the two sides are locked in negotiations.
The 28-year-old is understood to want to move to the Nou Camp but he has many other parties interested in signing him.
This has put pressure on Barcelona to get the deal done as Atletico have been unhappy with the way in which the La Liga champions have tried to force the deal during the season.
Simeone’s side are even willing to sell for a cheaper price abroad so they do not have to sell to Barcelona.
