Luka Jovic produced a five-star display as Eintracht Frankfurt thrashed Fortuna Dusseldorf 7-1 to send their opponents to the bottom of the Bundesliga table.
Jovic scored two left-foot volleys in the opening half, completed his hat-trick early in the second and still had time to add two more as the home side ran riot at Waldstadion.
The visitors fell behind in the 20th minute when Frankfurt were awarded a penalty after the intervention of VAR, with captain Adam Bodzek deemed to have handled the ball as Lucas Torro attempted to lift it into the middle of the penalty area.

Goalkeeper Michael Rensing guessed correctly and got a good hand to the ball as he dived to his left, but was unable to keep Sebastien Haller’s spot-kick out of the net.
Just six minutes later, Jovic scored his best goal of the evening with a stunning left-foot volley from Filip Kostic’s cross and the 20-year-old made it 3-0 in the 34th minute with another left-foot volley, this time low into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
Haller grabbed his second of the night early in the second half and although Dodi Lukebakio pulled one back, seconds later Jovic completed his hat-trick before adding a fourth in the 68th minute and his fifth, with a header, shortly afterwards.
Jovic received a standing ovation from his team-mates and the home supporters for his display
