West Ham step up pursuit of Roma striker Edin Dzeko and they’re ready to offer him a £165,000-a-week deal

West Ham have stepped up their pursuit of Roma striker Edin Dzeko with the club reportedly prepared to offer him a £165,000-a-week deal.
Dzeko worked with Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini for three years in the Premier League at Manchester City.
And now the pair could be reunited at the London Stadium in the summer with West Ham interested in signing the 33-year-old, according to The Express.

Dzeko has scored 12 goals and contributed eight assists in 33 appearances for Roma this campaign.
The forward spent five seasons at City, winning two Premier League titles and scoring 72 goals before his move to Serie A in 2016.
Earlier in the season Dzeko did not dismiss the possibility of making a switch back to the Premier League.

‘Regarding the Premier League, maybe it’s too late,’ he told Sky Sports. ‘You never know.
‘I had four-and-a-half great years there, and had fun every minute of every game. I love the Premier League and England, so we’ll see. At the moment I’m happy in Rome.’
Pellegrini’s West Ham side suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea on Monday night.
