Robert Lewandowski reportedly arrived late for Bayern Munich training for the second successive day on Thursday morning as he continues to push for a move to Barcelona.

Bayern players are expected to show up at 9am to the club’s training ground, but Lewandowski was six minutes late on Wednesday, and he followed that up by being two minutes late on Thursday, according to Bild.

The German outlet claimed that the 33-year-old only stepped out on the training pitch at 10:30am on Wednesday, and was the final player to leave the dressing room for the session as he appeared detached from the rest of his team-mates.

However, they have reported that things were different on Thursday, with the Polish forward making it out on to the pitch on time at 10am, and his body language was much improved.

He even joined in a birthday song for winger Serge Gnabry, while he spoke to his team-mates more and greeted manager Julian Nagelsmann with a handshake.

Lewandowski also managed to find the net again, something he has become accustomed to in a Bayern shirt, having netted 344 goals for the German giants.

This behaviour comes amid transfer speculation regarding his future, with Lewandowski making it clear that he wants to join Barcelona.

Barcelona’s latest offer of €45m (£38m) including bonuses has not received a response yet from Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn or the club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.

It is understood that the Bundesliga champions are holding out for €50m (£42m), and they will not consider allowing Lewandowski to leave for below this figure.

Frustration appears to be building from Lewandowski’s side, with the player’s wife suggesting on Instagram on Wednesday that they are in the dark over where his future lies.

She was asked on social media whether her family would be moving over to Barcelona, and she responded: ‘I would like to know that too’.

Her annoyance seems to be shared by Lewandowski himself, and he appears to be trying to make a point by showing up late for training in recent days that he is not pleased at being left in limbo.
