Sergio Ramos could face a suspension of up to seven games following his latest red card, according to reports.
The PSG defender was dismissed in the first-half during his side’s Ligue 1 clash away to Reims and could be facing a long absence from French football.
Ramos was unhappy with being shown a yellow card by referee Pierre Gaillouste, and in response allegedly called the referee ‘motherf***er’.

According to RMC Sport, there is footage via Canal+ that shows Ramos direct the expletive towards the referee upon being booked.
Then, just ten seconds after receiving his first yellow card, the Spaniard was shown a second and dismissed for an incredible 28th time in his career.
The referee’s report failed to state that Ramos used the term towards him, simply saying the former Real Madrid player was sent off for ‘aggressive’ behaviour.
This should help Ramos’ case when the disciplinary committee meet on Wednesday and, according to RMC Sport, it is unlikely that Ramos will receive the maximum punishment.
Ramos, as well as PSG fans, will be hoping that his suspension is a lot less than seven games
The 36-year-old signed for PSG during the 2021 summer transfer window – joining from Real Madrid where he had spent over 15 years of his career.
The defender struggled for game time over the course of his first season in the French capital as he dealt with various injuries.
However, the four-time Champions League winner has settled into his role for PSG this season – starting nine of their opening 10 games.
The player and fans alike will therefore be happier hearing the news that his absence may not be as long as it could have been.
In the meantime, Ramos and his PSG teammates take on Benfica in the Champions League – with both sides scrapping for top spot in their group.
