Youssoufa Moukoko’s agent claims the Dortmund star has NOT yet signed a new contract in a huge boost to Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United with his deal up next summer – and says his client is ‘interesting for every top club’

  • Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are keen on Youssoufa Moukoko
  • The Borussia Dortmund star is out of contract at the end of the current season
  • His agent has reportedly told Sky Germany that he’s not close to a new deal

Youssoufa Moukoko is reportedly not close to signing a new deal with Borussia Dortmund amid interest from the Premier League.

It has previously been reported that Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all keen on signing the 18-year-old who is out of contract in the summer.

Sky Germany, as per the Liverpool Echo, have reported that his agent, Patrick Williams, has confirmed they are not close to signing an extension, though are in talks with the Bundesliga side.

Premier League sides will be able to negotiate with Youssoufa Moukoko as of January 1

‘I can confirm that we are not about to conclude a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund,’ Williams told Sky Germany.

‘I can also assure you that the numbers that are circulating are simply not correct and Youssoufa was never offered that much. But we are still in contact with Dortmund and will see what the next few days bring.

‘A player like Youssoufa is interesting for every top club in the world. Especially when he is free and has a future in the German national team.’

German publication BILD reported last month that the youngster had been offered a deal worth €5 million-per-season.

Moukoko will be free to negotiate with teams outside of Germany from January 1 ahead of a potential free transfer.

However clubs could also look to tempt Dortmund to sell the highly-rated forward on the cheap during the January transfer window.

There are strong reasons as to why Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United might be tempted to buy Moukoko in January.

Manchester United are one forward short after Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from the club

Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be keen in signing the German international

Chelsea forward Armando Broja was ruled out for the season after rupturing his cruciate ligament in a friendly loss to Aston Villa, leaving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the Blues’ only available centre-forward.

United’s attacking options have been reduced by Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit last month while Liverpool are also short up front with Luis Diaz set to miss a further three months with a knee injury.

However, Moukoko is reportedly wary of departing Dortmund too soon for a side where his playing time could be reduced and will not join another club to sit on the bench.
