  • Bayern Munich are keen to make Julian Nagelsmann their manager this summer
  • According to BILD, the two parties have agreed personal terms for him to join
  • However, the Tottenham target has two years left on his current RB Leipzig deal

Bayern Munich have moved a step closer to hiring Julian Nagelsmann as their new manager after reportedly agreeing personal terms with him.

According to BILD, both parties have spoken and are happy with the plans in place for him to replace the outgoing Hansi Flick this summer.

Bayern now have to see eye to eye with Nagelsmann’s current employers RB Leipzig – who are set to be stubborn in negotiations with their domestic rivals.

RB Leipzig are demanding £26million to release Nagelsmann from his contract two years early in order to join Bayern.

That astronomical fee would be a world-record compensation for a coach – highlighting the clamour for Nagelsmann.

The German is only 33 but has impressed at Hoffenheim and Leipzig and can also count Tottenham among his suitors – with the Premier League club reportedly keen on him following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho earlier this month.

Nagelsmann has a 58 per cent win percentage with Leipzig during his two years at the club, having won 53 out of his 90 matches in charge.

Current Bayern boss Flick announced earlier this month that he wants his contract terminated at the end of the season, with last season’s Treble-winning manager strongly linked to the Germany national team role.

Flick told reporters on April 17: ‘I told the team today that I informed the club during the week, after the game in Paris, I would like to terminate my contract at the end of the season.’
